Pistorius: Freak Science Meets Sci-Fi

Once again, it’s not about trying to understand how one man ticks or how he could have gone off the rails. Instead, like Adam Lanza, it’s too easy to go the freak or the monster route — in this case, freak science or Sci-Fi. I just feel bad for the whole generation of Iraq and Afghanistan vets in prosthetics seeing “blade runner” turned into “Superman” turned into over-waxed Frankenstein.
