What does the GOP see when they consider immigration? In the last election, the backs of the Latino and Asian voters. Can the party overcome the stereotype derived from their own stereotyping? It’s all in the details of the deal being hatched in Congress. Billed as bipartisan, in reality a capitulation to electoral reality, who better than a losing presidential candidate to hear the whispers of the left?

    I don’t know what the GOP sees when this issue comes up…or, for that matter, what the Dems see when it comes up, but what i see is a nation liberalizing, or, possibly liberalizing , an immigration policy at a time of the worst long term unemployment in the US since the Great Depression. That’s what I see. And it ain’t particularly pleasing view to me. Anyway,
