Your Turn: Obama Turkey Day Courtesy Madame Tussauds

Tussauds Obama Thanksgiving
In the spirit of the holiday, how do you make sense of this? Race, celebrity, veggies, Really, it’s going in a lot of directions at once.

By the way, did I wish all of you a warm Thanksgiving and thank you again for being part of the family and the visual feast here all year round? I do!

(photo: Ben Pruchnie/Getty Images caption: Madame Tussauds London marks US President Barrack Obama’s fourth Thanksgiving in office with a grouping of his waxwork figures alongside waxworks of Rihanna, George Clooney and Morgan Freeman for an early Thanksgiving celebration in the Oval Office set on November 21, 2012 in London, England. .)

    Must be a Derrida tribute.

    Rihanna?

Oh yes, I forgot sex and gender. Why call out Rihanna more than Morgan Freeman, by the way?

Happy day before Black Friday. Many happy returns.

Only the Freeman waxwork looks anything like its namesake. Obama looks somehow like a British TV show host.

    Raw and uncooked – eww.
Would the live George Clooney sit while the President stands?

  • Cactus

First thing I noticed is that the turkey is not cooked and all the dishes are very white and modernistic. Then I noticed that the only person sitting at the table, is the only white person in the photo display. Hmmmmm.

Is there a connection with Obama? Clooney met with Obama and did extensive fundraising for him, Freeman did ads for Obama. What did Rihanna do with Obama?

Oh, I didn’t know about the Freeman ads. Then again, a big variable is what Tussaud has in the inventory.

Happy T Day! Well, I did know about the Freeman ad (great ad, I thought). But I don’t recognize the guy sitting down? Clooney? The symmetry on the desk top is pushed so hard as to make me wonder whether it’s intended as a joke.
