Romney’s Pre-Debate Rally: Anxious Last Gasp?

I’m not sure what’s stranger here, the intimation (amidst fighter jets) that presidential politics is a test of potency, or that all that remains of the Romney/Ryan payload here at the Denver Air and Space Museum are t-shirts.

This sense of and desire for excitation in Romney’s last appearance before the first debate does not seem that outlandish, however, on the flipside of all the confusion and anxiety surrounding this campaign. Certainly, these Instagram images from Charles Dharapak convey a situation that is less unified and exciting than unsettled and unnerving:

Thinking about the last photo, one might want to look at it as religious, but perhaps it’s mostly just about reaching. It’s hard to tell how much Charles is picking up and relating this quality or editorializing, especially with the bug-eyed shot. Perhaps, though, there’s a last gasp quality at play? Certainly, it’s a fascinating portrait of this confused and careening campaign — especially the pledge moment, and the odd, chaotic and unexplained range of expressions surrounding a worried child suspended in the air.

    Night of the living Republicans.

All I see in the crowd shot is anxiety and trepidation (even in the child held aloft).
What’s troubling you, bunkie? Fear of a 47% planet?

What the H is happening in that shot with the little kid? People in front look like they’re watching the immolation of the Hindenburg but folks behind them find something totally more interesting going on stage right. Then there’s the two guys whipping off a smart salute to something stage left. Good visual metaphor for the Tea Party, people communally suffering powerful hallucinations and delusions.

Something about this picture makes me think of Frank Zappa in the late 60’s. Plastic people, oh baby …

think it’s important to shut down the Romney money machine. They are
having Paul Ryan call up donors to reassure them.. Obama actually has a
big advantage over Romney in total money raised and cash on hand, it’s
just the RNC and outside groups have more than the DNC. RNC doesn’t
have to spend the money on Romney.

InTrade was showing Romney down to 20% last week, and at that level,
people just give up on the campaign. Now Romney is back over 30% and
still growing. Better than giving contributions to Obama, who has lots
of money anyways, would be to spend it on InTrade. A few hundred
dollars could move the number by a full point. If Romney can be put in
the 20% or below range, donors in the know, who frequently made their
money in hedge funds by looking at market indicators, would not give
    money to back a loser.

Interesting but far fetched conclusion from the photographs. The full contents is what was happening behind the camera phone operator. I can see how lack of insight allows interpreters to miss inform others of the events taking place. I have to say this is typical behavior for those who believe what others say without vesting the facts.

LOL. Obama will lose and lose badly.
