Campaign ‘12 in the Social Networking Age: Photo Fanaticism

Okay, Campaign ‘12 personal photography has just crossed into the realm of the fetishistic. Pretty in Pink?

The first of four debates for the 2012 Election, three Presidential and one Vice Presidential, is moderated by PBS’s Jim Lehrer and focuses on domestic issues: the economy, health care, and the role of government.)

Let’s not be too harsh. Remember that you’re reading comments that I’m making about the Bag posting this picture that Chip took of this debate attendee taking a picture of Michelle’s chair. We’re all in this together : )

Hey, I’ve been obsessively taking photos for years (okay, decades). Taking photos has nothing to do with social media, unless the only reason someone takes an image is to post it. I’m more annoyed if someone posts reams of badly-taken images (my pet peeve). But touristy I-was-there shots, meh. Sometimes you have to get it out of your system. I like how the man’s face is so intent and his color mimics the chair color.

Not a smart phone, hardly fetishistic. I’d probably do the same.
