Drowning or Just Listing?: What Depression Looks Like
Why it’s powerful….
This picture is part of the photo-story on the CNN Photo Blog, “A ‘Visual Diary’ of Depression,” by photojournalist Marvi Lacar. What’s powerful is how the hand dangling out of the bathtub immediately conjures up suicide. What I wonder, though, is if the photo is going for too much drama when depression is actually more painful (and painful to look at) for being cripplingly monotonous and everyday.
