Damage Obama West LA Campaign Office

Fry, die; back in the closet. … I hope this photo is just an outlier, and not how the campaign season is shaping up.

Commanders ignored warnings that British troops were at risk from attack by Afghan allies

British troops face such danger from their allies in the Afghan army and police force that they should carry a loaded pistol whenever they are working alongside them, a secret Nato report has warned

    Disturbing isn’t it.

Consequent the piece by Mike Lofgren, Matt Taibbi wrote awhile back,

But the time is coming when we are all going to be forced to literally
take sides in a political conflict far more serious and extreme than
we’re used to imagining. The situation is such a tinderbox now that all
it will take is some prominent politician to openly acknowledge the fact
of a cultural/civil war for the real craziness to begin. Taibblog, RollingStone, 9/7/11

Yeah. And what makes it even scarier is that what might qualify as “open acknowledgement” in this context is hard to define or predict. Remember the 2010 moments like “reload,” website images with cross hairs superimposed on Democrats, “2nd Amendment remedies”? Times are getting even more tense, so the same sort of phenomenon, or even a repetition of an identical phrase or image, might now become a tipping point.

The world we live in.. where media has become so splintered that everyone gets their news from a giant caldron of different sources.  The Media Soup has become quite toxic, true, but what is being discussed here, a catalyzing event, is lacking.  The two sides are drawn, but all of the details are fuzzy.  RED v. BLUE is about all we know (unless it’s Class Warfare, in which case it’s Rich v. Poor, but that cuts the pie in a different way!!).  So, if things come to a head — Who would give the order to fight?  What would the fighting look like? Who would set the demands? I can feel the tension out there, but it would be total chaos if people brought the fight to the streets.  For now, I predict a rise in random violence (out of frustration) and more protests (along the lines of the Wall Street thing going on). Until we see our catalyst, society will continue to simmer..

Michelle Buchanan has the audacity to suggest that her poor skinny WASP ass has ever had to sit at the back of the bus, where her perceived slight as a white person is imagined by all but the most delusional and racist voters.  The usual GOP projection in the latest over the top meme is now in reverse discrimination flavor!

This took place in my stomping grounds.

    Troubling; simply troubling.
