Google Me

Google IO Conference

What makes the photo is not just the reflection how each of us operates in our own slick little bubble, it’s how the picture employs that cute, deadpan, playfully innocent, forever-young, candy-colored and ultimately addictive-like-crack Silicon Valley style and tone these days to do it.

Michael, isn’t this actually retro Swinging Sixties design?

Reminds me of the scene in the first “Men in Black” when the MIB applicants are given a written test on paper and are given sharp pencils, uncomfortable seats and nothing to lean on when they try to write.

Google is more menacing than cute these days, and this elephant-coyness does not help.
