Seer or Snatcher? The GOP Targets Medicare

With a haircut and a proposed budget that pre-dates the New Deal, Paul Ryan is photographed everywhere promoting his plan to end Medicare as we know it. Perhaps this particular Getty photo is proving so popular because it can be read two different ways — as GOP visionary or as entitlement-snatcher robbing seniors of Medicare.  And how will the Dems frame the debate? If the new Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee also happens to represent the state with the highest population of senior citizens, it should get interesting.
