Tyler Hicks and Lynsey Addario Missing
As both an analyst and publisher of photojournalism, the Bag is very close to many photographers, particularly conflict photographers, and we couldn’t be more respectful of the extraordinary risks they take and the hardships they endure. The NYT confirms that this is the last known picture of their photographers, Tyler Hicks and Lynsey Addario, before they disappeared earlier this week in Libya.
As an example of the routine danger of the job — the situation in Libya deteriorating rapidly as the world drags its feet — the image also needs no explanation. We pray for Tyler, Lynsey, Stephen and Anthony’s safe return.
UPDATE 3/18: Very good news today.
