Mubarak and 40, 41, 2, 3 & 4: A Contrast, or Guilt By Association?

Given the amount of cash and arms the United States has pumped into the Mubarak regime every year, I’m surprised how few pictures I’ve seen from the Egypt uprising, if any, take aim at the U.S.¬† This photo, in fact, seems to honor our electoral process, comparing our (mostly) orderly turnover with their effective dictatorship.

…It’s either that, or someone wanted to specify clearly which and how many President’s have had the honor of catering to Hosni as a client.

I’m curious how you read it.

A new Egyptian cabinet took office on Monday but the protest movement calling for the overthrow of President Mubarak said the changes were irrelevant. The cabinet has a new prime minister, a new interior minister and fresh faces in the key economic ministries. From top, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and current U.S. President Barack Obama.)
