Well, There’s Move On and Then There’s MOVE ON

1. Supporters yell “Get the cops!” …And, was that for more muscle, or just for approval?

2. Hmm, is free speech even in the Constitution?

3. And I thought stuff like this only happened in Alaska!

4. Tea Party-speak for “Have a Nice Day!”

(No matter how unintentional and explainable the specific incident was, the fact is, it wouldn’t have been a story at all if it didn’t reflect the hostility and divisive acts, rhetoric and gestures coming from the Tea Party and its candidates.)

5. Sure, the “Aqua Bhudda” thing was a crock and the” tying up the woman” thing was beyond beyond. But then seriously, Rand, how do you think this looks to the Soccer Moms?

Video. Backstory.

  • boomerangst

Come on, Rand thinks this looks great to all of his supporters and those on the fence–don’t you know they’d love to “stomp” on us godless liberals who are trying to convince the country to become atheists, recruiting women to have abortions, seducing children into the gay life, and living of government handouts?
Can you say Senator Rand Paul? What a farce. This country makes me sick.

  • gulati

Reebok jack boots! Palin was only the harbinger of the shrill sound of populism.

  • Enoch Root

Again I ask: When will be allowed to call it fascism? I wouldn’t be worried except that the Tea Party has normalized radical, violent rhetoric, and here we see the consequence. They are violent tools of a real, actual right-wing conspiracy between elites that exist in a world where there is little legal consequence for inciting violence in people’s minds, and later, their Reeboks.

That wasn’t a stomp; that was playing ‘footsie’. You want to see a stomp, then g00gle Albert Haynesworth and Andre Gurode.

That said, that so-called ‘man’ should never have played footsie with a woman who was already subdued. Sure, she might’ve been an attacker, another lefty Lynette Fromme, but she was down already and no longer a threat.

    A clear case of overreaction.

I’ll give you this: at least you liberals haven’t yet strapped on suicide bomb vests and walked into Churches. Yet.

    • bill

Huh? Are you referring to murdering abortion doctors in their house of worship? Serr8d, this is real life, not a football game. We’re talking about what kind of country we’re creating/changing for our kids.

At what point do you move from believing the Right has a few cases of overreaction to seeing they’ve fomented a real problem? When they’re kicking YOU down for not being pure enough? Open your eyes and ears. It’s not liberals with the hate problem.

Actually, it’s not a stomp, it’s called a “curb job;” the neonazis are big on this precise action which requires no stomping, just pressure on the shoulder and neck with the curb as leverage. The intent? Broken neck. This is attempted murder, pure and simple, and if there were no cameras, I have no doubt this woman would be dead. Serr8d is only disappointed in the fact that the guy was busted, but cheers on violence. I hope MoveOn dogs this fascist and his cowardly associates so long and hard their great grandchildren are still paying for it.

Glad you’re ever so vigilant on the Strawman Liberation Front, chickenshit.

The fist in the upper left suggests that the potential for violence isn’t limited to stomping.

He isn’t only stepping on the only woman in the frame (symbolic of using women’s bodies as platforms), but she’s wearing glasses. He’s also stomping on a marker of the educated class and critical thinking.

Strangely, she is wearing red; is this a Tea Party attack on the GOP as well?

Mostly, that picture makes me want to cry.

This was an evening event with public, media, campaign contributors and potential supporters all in attendance. Even as a volunteer I can’t imagine wearing sneakers.
