GOP vs. Tea

DOVER, DE - OCTOBER 28: Republican U.S. Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell (2nd L) attends a rally at the Kent County Republican Headquarters on October 28, 2010 in Wilmington, Delaware. O'Donnell reminded voters that she was behind in the polls before her surprising win in the Republican primaries earlier this year and the same could happen during next Tuesday's Mid Term elections. Given how much Christine has in common with Sarah Palin, this photo reminds me of the shot from the Republican Convention (see second pic) of the shocking Veep choice getting tutoring-on-the-fly from McCain’s designated-Professor Higgins, Steve Schmidt.

The photo hits on at least two points as COD gets an earful from an RNC handler in a Kent County Republican Headquarters joint appearance with Michael Steele.  Number one is how much handling Christine really needs. The second is the size of challenge, and the tension involved in the GOP establishment trying to manage their Tea Party cousins.

Just don’t mess with the wardrobe, fellas!
