And the explanation.

Otherwise, it’s you’re Bag.

Oh, man. I thought the BAG would be the last place I would run into Ms. Germanotta.

What’s next, a poop dress? As much as I admire the work of David Bowie, I can well imagine how irritating he must have been to his non-fans back in the early 1970s. The “children that you spit on” schtick is alive and well with Lady Gaga’s little monsters. But I am really reminded of Salvador Dali when I see this meat outfit. Maybe Un Chien Andalou. Bowie, Marylin Manson, Gaga are really giving us a rehashing of the surrealists of the twenties. I find this kind of silly and embarrassing for two reasons: First, Americans were mostly ignorant of the arts in Europe, and still are, so this stuff seems really fresh and provocative. I’m sure most Europeans would not pay much attention–been there, done that. Secondly, I’m fairly sure Dali had something to say with his shocking imagery. Something about what society was all about. I don’t think these latter day surrealists have any message, other than: “Hey teenager, I understand you and how stupid and mean your parents are. Buy my records.”

So I guess my question would be something like, “What’s your beef?” Or maybe, “Where’s the beef?”
