Kitchen Debate — Not What it Used to Be

AP 1959 Moscow

So, is the world (yikes!) just a safer place these days? Or, is the cold war just safely committed to the history ? (Or, has capitalism finally gotten the best of everybody?)l

Obama and Medvedev dodged the formality of a US-Russia summit Thursday, slipping out of the White House to visit one of the US leader’s favorite burger joints. The two leaders will hold a joint press conference later June 24 at the White House.)
