Where Scott Brown is Coming From…

I give up. From the bedtime prayers of the Circulation Manager? From an editor yet to be convinced the Tea Party is a movement?

By the way, notice how the moderate is framed as mostly monochrome in spite of GOP red all around. This GQ-style cover also makes me wonder how much Brown can successfully repel right wing pressure and carve out a more middle-ground, independent role just by virtue of his sex appeal.

    He’s not that sexy, but he does have to answer to a younger generation (his daughters) and has carved out an identity that is more inclusive and more contemporary than that of the tea-baggers. In the age of reality TV, he’s closer to ‘the situation’ than to ‘glen beck’ and he has to get re-elected in Massachusetts. Fox news will soon start to use the (D) on their screen to identify him. BTW I’m old enough to remember the Cosmo centerfold, for which I’m still reeling and retching

    When did RED become Republican, anyway? RED always belonged to the Left, the Soviet Union and the radicals. My theory is that because of that very association, whoever decides these things made RED a Republican color, avoiding associating it with Democrats for fear of the traditional radical coloring.
