Another day, another boogeyman (or boogey-state) that could come and kill you in your bed tonight.

    A few years back I took an informal survey of the home countries of Arabs who operate small retail stores. So many of them said they were from Yemen that I concluded they didn’t want customers to know they’re really from Syria or Jordan, or God forbid, Palestine.
    Now that Yemen is on the terror map, these retailers will have to choose a country that we’re on better terms with. Egypt is a good candidate . . . nothing has boiled over in a number of years. It’s used to be safe to be from Lebanon, but you don’t want customers to think they’re buying bagels from Hezbollah.

    Looks like a weather man.

    Remember the Lebanese dry cleaner whose store was attacked
    after the Invasion of Iraq back in 2003? Ironically, he had
    named his business “French Cleaners”, as he didn’t want a
    middle eastern association – and was attacked due to the
    “Freedom Fries” nonsense.
    Hmm. Which quote to deploy?
    “God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh”///
    * or *
    “War is God’s way of teaching Americans geography”.

    When Stephan Colbert pulled up a map of Yemen he in typical fashion re-arranged the letters to the anagram “Enemy”.
