Call Out the Armey

Dick Armey NYT Mag.jpg

Abutting the NYT.com headline this afternoon “Republicans Bask in Glow of Victories in N.J. and Va.” is a sneak peek article and photo previewing the upcoming NYT Mag doling out a national “15″ minutes to the “Obamantagonist” flavor-of-the-week. Given a big hand up (or, -out) into the ring is the recycled Dick Armey.

In this case, another fine portrait maker gives us a classic black-and-white Washington cowboy-in-a-suit — an angry comedian for the camera, and just angry otherwise — who is going to kick the moonbats out of the corral.

If the move is, oh so tired at this point, there’s still that “fair-and-balanced” hamburger to grind.

The Conservative “movement” has yet to prove it can make something happen that wasn’t going to happen anyhow. Fox News is an entertainment channel, and people like Dick Armey and Sarah Palin are empty celebrities.
Years ago, radio commentator Jean Shepherd used to have his followers assemble at random locations and just mill around. The Tea Party movement hasn’t shown that it’s more than a sort of fan club.

    “Empty celebrities.” Good call, Dennis.
Excluding the Cheney family, Dick Armey is one man who I every time I see his face I – seriously – want to puke.

Pinstriped suit, shiny tie, cowboy hat and fisticuffs – can these jowly white guys get any more cartoonish?

And what’s with the overly long necktie – does that have something to do with Texas?

The fact that it’s posed in a studio gives it a funny, cheesy-yet-ironic take. Thing is, conservatives don’t “do” irony.

I think it’s to cover his belly. He’s not exactly svelte, at least from a side view.
White hat, he’s GOTTA be a good guy. Yeah.

Where was the “tough guy” when his country needed him in Vietnam?
    Oh yeah, elsewhere.

if we had a proper commission gathered investigating the roots of who & what tanked the economy, like they did after the great depression, this guy would have a starring role. that this man still has the balls to run around and shoot his mouth off, instead of being shamed into silence, just goes to show how democrats are too weak kneed to demand accountability. that and because they too share culpability.
i used to think if only teabaggers knew about armey’s role, what they might do to him. now i don’t think they give a damn. they have their narrative made up and they’re sticking to it hell or high water.
