    He talks as though his enemies tried unsuccessfully to nail him, implying that he’s no longer under indictment. Is this true? If he somehow has managed to wiggle free from all the charges, he’d be better off keeping a low profile. On the other hand, if he still faces trial, it’s possible he wants to raise his profile as a different sort of crooked politician.
    He’s trying to pretend he’s not squirming. Remember his smiling mugshot?

    Truly, if there is one organizing principle for the GOP it is repressed, closeted male homosexuality. It is the psycho-dramatic mainspring of all else. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
