Question of Character

In the battle for international hearts and minds, the scene in this widely-circulated BBC Video video seems to emblemize the character of Iran’s reform protesters.

In the footage, we see Iranian police on motorcycles attack a large crowd of Moussavi supporters this past weekend. In the course of the attack, one policemen falls off his bike and is injured. The bike either catching fire or is set ablaze. Almost immediately, he is escorted off the street by several protesters. When other angry Moussavi supporters try to approach, they are vehemently warned off.

Next, you can see how another Moussavi supporter, having just placed his green headband down, delicately attends to the policeman and washes his head.
