he has an interesting wiki profile. let’s hope they don’t have diebold.
can you imagine a world where we have normalized relations with iran? i shake my head in disbelief when i consider the scenario. if this can be pulled off, that would be as significant as the berlin wall being torn down. jimmy carter says failing to restore a relationship with iran has been one of our biggest foreign policy failures in the past 30 years.

I very much would like to see some progress in Iran. I must admit I know little about where they stand.
Maybe its time, who knows. It would be a good thing…

The timing and execution of Obama’s Cairo speech was impeccable. Here was the leader of the “great devil” holding out hope for better relations between the Arab World, Iran and the West, while also suggesting that the moderate Arab world might come together with the West to isolate a radical, regionally destabilizing Iran.
To what extent did the hope engendered by Obama’s Cairo address influence election results in Lebanon? How might that speech have strengthen the opposition in Iran, allowing ordinary Iranians to vote their hopes for normalized relations with the outside world rather than their fears, as stirred up by the American neocon forces?
Brilliant, subtle move by President Obama and his administration.
