Making the point.

Pope Benedict XVI called for a Palestinian homeland, urged youths to shun “terrorism” and lamented Israel’s wall that towered over his first trip to the West Bank)

It is a powerful image, the Pope and his audience wedged into this corner of the lower white walls with Arabic script, a confining space with the high wall and fencing behind them. The wall behind them reminds me of prisons or the Berlin Wall. The people are in shadows and the wall in the sunlight, the high camera position allows us to see/feel it all. Whoever chose the location for the event couldn’t have done better.
