Signs of trouble?

(Hillary on tonight.)

Trouble? I don’t think so, although we’ll have to wait and see. I know our pathetic mainstream media would love some trouble to report, but I suspect most of Hillary’s supporters have reconciled themselves to the outcome of the primary. For them, this will be a profoundly bittersweet moment, and they’ll cheer her like there is no tomorrow – but the die has been cast, and I think they know that. I imagine their feelings will run the gamut, and the pain will be real. I share some of that with them. But, the sun is still rising in the east and setting in the west; on a fundamental level, the world still turns. And, I believe, they share that understanding with me.

Watching Hillary’s speech tonight I saw some steely eyed women start nodding and relaxing. There are always some diehards, of course, difficult to parse their feelings…but I wonder to myself “Are they really DEMOCRATS?” If Hillary was a Republican, I think they’d be there with her, with all the R baggage. She did vote FOR the war, after all. I am suspicious of them.
