Pot Calling The Kettle: Put Up Your Resume!
Chomping at the bit after ceding the stage to the Democrats for four days, President Bush came out today (as expected) slinging dirt. Curiously, the man with almost no political experience (save the one term, primarily ceremonial post of Governor of Texas) accused Senator Kerry of few “signature achievements.”
This kind of thing is vintage Bush. It not only aims to establish a perception that is questionable in fact (see this press release issued by the Kerry campaign), it’s a classic example of how Bush deflects attention from his own inadequacies by displacing them onto others.
